Timbales: The Timbales are single headed drums that were invented in Cuba. They look similar to a tom-tom with a metal casing, but usually have a higher pitched sound. They are mainly used in Jazz, and flamenco, as well as Afro-Beat Cuban.
Conga: The Conga is a tall Single header drum. It has a barrel shape to it. It is mainly used in Afro-Caribbean religious music and in rumba. The main sounds you can get from this drum are the Open, Bass, Slap, Muffled, and Touch tones.
